Sony, the number makers and developers of technology, added in new features to the latest PlayStation installment. It is otherwise known as The Slim because it looks smaller than its predecessors.

The design in itself has already improved. If you compare it to the older models, you’ll notice that it is 33 percent smaller and 36 percent lighter than the previous models. It looks significantly compact and thin. It’s goes beyond belief because it is able to pack in more features despite its smaller size. Many people have actually given positive feedbacks to the way it looks. When you take a look at the texture, the matte finish makes it even more stylish. Don’t let it fool you, though, because when you pick it up, it feels quite substantial. The company aims to make the PS3 more “casual” so that it is more appealing to a wider audience. Overall, the new design and finish is well thought out. What makes it even more glamorous is the mirrored strip on the front of the unit which is found next to the opening of the slot-loading disc player. Glossy plastic plates are also added on the sides. It is also nice to know that the matte finish does absorb the oil or pick up fingerprints, thus resulting to a cleaner look.

There’s the change in the branding logo as well. You’ll notice that the lettering has undergone a redesign. The touch-sensitive power and eject buttons that were once found on the front of the unit have been changed by standard push buttons.
